Audio Installer Position Core Requirements

Education Prefer candidates with MECP (Mobile Electronics Certified Professional) certification and hands-on experience or vocational training in automotive electronics.

Technical Knowledge

Strong grasp of electrical fundamentals, including V = I × R (Ohm's Law)
Understanding of acoustics, impedance, and speaker Thiele-Small parameters
Ability to safely dismantle and reassemble vehicle interiors without causing damage

Skillset

Wiring integration, soldering, and using digital multimeters (DMMs)
Fabricating custom speaker enclosures or amp racks using materials like MDF and fiberglass
Configuring and tuning Digital Signal Processors (DSPs) and troubleshooting factory-to-aftermarket integrations
